The 2003 Ford Focus uses a No. 9003SU dual-filament bulb that serves for both high and low beams. Because of the way the Focus is designed, you have to remove the front grille and headlamp assembly to replace the headlight bulb. When replacing the bulb, do not touch the glass portion with your bare skin. Oils from your skin will remain on the bulb and could cause premature failure.
Items you will need
- Flat-head screwdriver
- 10 mm socket
- 6-inch ratchet extension
- New No. 9003SU bulb
- Inch-pounds torque wrench
